Hello :) My name is Kerri Parnell, I’m an artist from Winnipeg, Manitoba. I studied at the University of Manitoba - School of Art and the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. My three favourite things in life are PEOPLE + ART + SPIRIT

CREMATION TATTOOS

Tattooing brings me immense joy because it combines my three passions with an opportunity to connect deeply with people. Each tattoo tells a personal story, I find great fulfillment in this craft. Through Cremation Tattoos, I feel honoured to be invited into such an intimate space, to help people commemorate their loved ones. There’s nothing more rewarding than witnessing tears of happiness during moments of cathartic upheaval. Please visit Tattoo portfolio for recent works.

PAUSE IN PLIGHT

Pause in plight is a national internment art exhibition I created with support from the Endowment Council of the Canadian First World War Internment Recognition Fund (CFWWIRF). This 17-piece exhibition explored the national security fears and wartime prejudice that led to the internment of 8,579 people, including men, women and children, who were branded as “enemy aliens”. To learn more about this exhibition please visit Pause in Plight
