Parents and sisters Cremation Tattoos

Trevor was an amazing individual with so many aspects of his life that are strong in our memories. He was a son, a brother, an uncle and father to his beautiful daughter Jade who is expecting and would have made Trevor an incredibly proud and excited grandfather. Trevor had numerous interests including a massive collection of music cd's, many of which he aired on the radio show "Le champ de patates" that he hosted through Franco Manitoba Cultural Centre in his teens. You could count on him to accurately quote many phrases of his favorite movies. He loved attending concerts and going to comedy shows. He used to refer to himself as the "sit down comedian" because he was in a wheelchair.
At age 3, Trevor was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a severe and progressive muscle deterioration disease. Despite his disability, he surpassed many challenges and limitations that he was faced with over the years. He lived well past the life expectancy for that type of Muscular Dystrophy.
He was always recognized for his unique style, whether it was his multi-coloured hair, beard, clothing style of every shade of camouflage clothing that you can imagine. He had a multitude of piercings and tattoos. The camo he wore was as a tribute to one of his school friends who lost a battle of a different kind.
Trevor had a variety of interesting pets over the years like sphynx cats, budgies that reproduced at his home several times, an albino hedgehog, a puffer fish, and as a child, his most beloved pet iguana "Mortimer" which turned out to be "Iggy" when we found out she was female.
When we stumbled across Kerri's article in the newspaper about her shop that offered Cremation Tattoos, we felt that this would be the perfect tribute we could do as a family for Trevor. When we were trying to decide the type of tattoo to get, Trevor's Dad suggested an iguana tattoo or possibly something with camo print. When this was suggested, it felt like a lightbulb moment. That was it! What a wonderful opportunity it was to meet Kerri. We made an appointment, packed up a cooler of food and drink and made a family day of it, getting tattoos one after another. She made the experience remarkable, creating a beautiful memory while receiving sentimental tattoos.
Thank you so much Kerri. It's so nice to have a piece of Trevor with us wherever we go.
