Rusty 2010 - 2025
Dog - Brothers Cremation Tattoo
Rusty was born on March 15th 2010 and joined our family in May 2010. It was a spur of the moment, a kijiji ad for chocolate labs out near portage. My parents loaded us up and off we went. It was so last minute that after we got Rusty, we headed straight to Walmart to get everything we needed for a puppy. We never knew that would be the best last minute decision our parents ever made. Rusty was a one of a kind dog, a soft gentle soul with a wild side that was always hard to tame. Rusty lived a life every dog would dream of. He was always apart of the family adventures, whether it was weekends at the lake or the farm. Endless laps around the farm chasing the quad/snowmobiles.Boat rides and swimming was by far Rusty’s favorite. He always enjoyed standing on the side of the boat enjoying the morning breeze as we headed to our fishing spots. You never had to question if Rusty would want to join you for whatever our day entailed.
All you had to do was give him the nod and say “coming buddy?” And up he would jump wagging his tail excited not even knowing where we’re going or what we’re doing.
Aside from being an amazing adventure dog, he was also the most loyal and loving companion anyone could ask for. He always knew when we needed that extra cuddle or kiss to make us feel better when we had a tough day.
Rusty loved each of his family members in his own way, we all shared such a special relationship with, from morning pets while we had coffee, afternoon naps on the couch, after work walks or late night playing to get his last bit of energy out, Rusty had a unique way of always enjoying our company.
Rusty was everything we had hoped for a dog for our family and he’s left a big void in all our hearts. But the memories we got to share with him over the 15 years he was with will last a lift time.
Fly high my Ru bear it’s not a good bye, it’s a see you later, We all love and miss you so much.
